My sister in law throw me a baby shower on Saturday. I didn't want to have one because I knew none of my friends could come. Most of my better friends are either in Hong Kong or some other states.
However, I am glad that I had one because we received a lot of gifts. My mother in law invited a lot of church members and they came. Even though I didn't really know them, they are so generous to come and give us gifts.
Here are some pictures, I look like I weight 300 lbs. Hopefully, I will lose those lbs pretty quickly. Also, I might not look too happy because I only had 3 hours sleep the night before. I was so dang tired, I could hardly keep my eyes open.
This is a blog where I would like to record the growth our little family! Current combination: Daddy: Jason, Mommy: Melissa, and Baby: Julianna.

Days 21 and 22 of 365 day photo challenge
Day 21
Jason was working on his tank. Then he said he wanted to throw the picture away because he lost interest on drawing it. I told him that he didn't need to throw it away, just leave it. May be he will want to draw it again later.
Day 22
Jason was looking at his old band's folder and found a lot of songs he had written a long time ago. He said he didn't want to show me because it was embarrassing. I told him that there is nothing to be embarrassed about, so he showed me. One of the song is named Fire Lake. I read the lyrics and asked him if he had the melody for it. He said no. However, after flipping through the pages, he found the tune. So I was excited and said "PLAY IT". So I handed him his guitar and he started playing it. After he finished, he thought the song didn't make much sense but I thought it was pretty good.
Relaxing Friday
We had a relaxing day yesterday. We got up after noon. I asked Jason if he wanted to do some homework or just want to relax. We chose just to relax because we were so tired from school work. We needed to rest. We went to get the car washed and had lunch at Golden Carol.
While we were having lunch, there was an older couple sitting just behind us. I think they were in their 70s. The husband seemed like he had trouble walking and his hands were shaking. His wife was perfectly fine. She got up and got food for her husband. Before they started eating, they prayed. Then the wife gave the husband a kiss. It was such a touching picture. I was going to cry.
That is what I picture the future will be like. Jason and I would be a very old couple. We still go places together and take care of each other. We would still express our love by kissing each other. It would be the perfect future.
I love you my sweet husbee, I am not ashamed to say that my biggest wish is to grow old with you.
We originally planned to go to Old Navy after lunch, but we were kind of tired and just wanted to go home and relax. I felt asleep and Jason was working on something. At about 6, we went to Jason's band's practice. We were able to record Jason playing drums.
Click the link below to watch the video, the sound isn't great because we just used a regular camcorder:

Working on band's logo
Jason is working on redesigning his band's logo. He likes the dragon idea. He drew this dragon on the computer. Then he wanted a more hand drawn feel, so he traced it with a tracing paper and scan it in to the computer.
Days 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20 of 365 day photo challenge
Day 16
We were at Chandra's and just finished watching the movie Freaky Friday. I am not sure why we decided to take this picture. haha!
Day 17
Okay, I am not sure what happened to this picture. It was fine when I pull it from my phone to my computer. It was also find on the thumbnail, but when I open it, it just shows half the picture. So I decided to crop it...........haha! Look at my crazy hair. I think I just woke up from a nap!
Day 18
Jason was practicing drums on his band's practice night. He is getting getter and better.
Day 19
Jason was stressed out about a quiz yesterday, so we went and got a drink. After we parked the car, he did that! haha! I guess Mountain dew does make him few better, even though I don't really like him drinking too much caffeine, I will have to let him. :)
Day 20
The numbers I wrote on the Sundays boxes indicate how far along I am. So on Feb 19, I will be 36 weeks along!!! Can I just say SCARY!

Sweetheart, how are you?
My dear Yoon Yoon,
How are you doing? I know we haven't really officially met yet, but you have been in my tummy for almost 36 weeks. Daddy and Mommy really want to see you and hold you. Can you tell me when are you going to come out?
It's been very stressful for both Daddy and Mommy these couple weeks, because it's getting so close. You are consider full term in just 11 days. We don't know for sure what it will be like having you with us.
I only have one favor to ask, please be healthy. Daddy and Mommy love you very much. Help Mommy take good care of your Daddy when you are here, Okay?
Sweetheart, we will see you soon!
Love,
Mama

34 days left
I feel like I haven't slept for a week. Last night, I finally felt asleep at 3 a.m. I thought I would finally get a good night sleep. But no, I had to woke at 8 a.m. I know, 8 is not very early but considering what time I was able to fall asleep, it is really early!
I tried to fall back asleep after I woke up, it took me about hour and a half to fall back asleep. I got up at about noon. We went out for lunch because I was so tired that I really had no energy. After that Jason dropped me off at school.
We went through the sample exam in class today because we are having a Math exam tomorrow. I am not sure if I am ready for it but I don't really have the energy to review. Also, I have other classes I need to work on.
I have finished chapter 4 and 5 of the Natural Childbirth book. It's a really good read. I really enjoy reading it.
Only 34 days left till baby is due but only 13 days till baby is full term............scary!

Day 13
Yes, it's him again, my silly husbee. It shows you how exciting my life is right now. We don't really get to do anything except our homework. Or we are just too tired to do anything. I believe he was playing call of duty in this picture as a break from studying.
Day 14
Don't ask me what his hands were doing. I wouldn't tell! He was writing his speech for the public speaking class and I thought he was laughing, so I laughed uncontrollably for no good reason. He was kind of annoyed and it made me laugh even harder. HaHaHa.
Day 15
I finally got the book "Natural Birth the Bradley way" on Friday and I have read the first three chapters already. It's an really old book but I found the information interesting and helpful. I could skip some chapters because I only have five weeks left. However, it's not a big book. I think I can finish it pretty quickly and be able to practice what it teaches us.

Day 12 of 365 day photo challenge and baby sign language
Well, nothing really happen today. I went to school and came home. We are having another Math exam next Tuesday which is Valentine Day.
It will be our last Valentine Day for just the two of us. Next year, we will have a little one year old with us!!!
I just finished my birth plan today, I hope it will be followed as much as it can.
Jason was saying the other day that we should teach our baby sign language, so I went online and research a little bit. It is a pretty new concept, however, it looks like it has a lot of benefit for the kid and the parents.
Parents could bond better with their child using sign language because they can understand each other as young as the child is six months old. It could help the parents to understand what the baby really want. As the child is understood, the baby would have less frustration.
For the child, it helps them develop their speech skill earlier than other kids. Also, they tend to have higher IQ.
However, to be able to take advantage of the benefit of sign language, parents need to be very consistent. I would like to try but I am not sure if I will be consistent enough.

34 weeks prenatal visit
I had my 34 weeks prenatal visit yesterday. I couldn't sleep the night before so I was really tired. Jason and I went to the clinic. They measured my blood pressure, my belly and the baby heart rate. The baby heart rate was 130. It was good.
The mid-wife asked if I am going to go natural, I said yes. She said that I can do it. If I have the mind set to do it, I can. Women have been doing this for thousands of years. I am determined to do it naturally. She said if I don't attend any classes, I should at least get some books about natural birth, so I ordered this book:
I hope to get it soon so I can start reading and be prepared.
On a side note, I kept having contractions yesterday, I think it is because I was so tired yesterday. I only have a couple today.

100 reasons I love my husband, #2
I love my husband because he is sweet.
The other day, I found that I started to have stretch marks. I really don't feel good about it. It's really ugly......so I said, I don't want stretch marks. Then, he said, the only person that can see them doesn't care. How sweet! And he always says I made the cutest pregnant woman. HaHa!
Doesn't matter what other people say or think, you are always the sweetest husband to me.
I Love you!
Day 10 of 365 day photo challenge
It was our niece Madee birthday yesterday. We went up to my sister in law's at 4 to have a birthday party. The cake looks good but it was too sweet to me. I don't really like the frosting here.

Day 9 of 365 day photo challenge
I can't deny the fact that I actually love Math now. I can't believe I said that. I guess it is because it made me feel good about myself. I was never good at Math when I was in Hong Kong, I only got a passing grade for my public exam. And a B while I was getting my associate degree in Hong Kong.
I would rather do Math all day than writing papers. But, is there a short cut to this problem???
34 weeks questionnaire
Wow, I can't believe that I am 34 weeks. Guess what, baby is full term in 3 weeks. Yes, I said 3 weeks. How scary! We still don't have anything ready for the baby. We have been so busy and burnt out by our busy school work.
How far along?
34 weeks
Maternity clothes?
I only have one maternity dress. So I have to wear the same dress every week for church. I just don't want to spend any more money on maternity clothing tho.
Stretch marks?
Oh my gosh! I HAVE STRETCH MARKS!!!! I can't believe it. It started on my sides!
Sleep:
Well, I slept pretty good this week. It's hard to get into a comfortable position though. When I lie down, I can feel that the baby is getting heavier.
Best moment this week:
I was able to record the baby movement on video. She was moving non-stop for like an hour yesterday morning.
Miss Anything?
being able to walk without feeling tired
Movement:
She has been moving a lot this past week. And she is STRONG! It actually hurts sometime especially when I can feel her bones.
Food cravings:
Chinese Dim Sum
Anything making you queasy or sick:
Fast food
Have you started to show yet:
Yes, but I am not huge yet
Gender:
A baby girl
Labour Signs:
Some contractions, but I am not sure, may be those are just cramps
Belly Button in or out?
It's out when I stand up, in when I lie down
Wedding rings on or off?
Off, and I notice that my foot are getting bigger because I can't fit into my boots.
Happy or Moody most of the time:
Very moody and it's getting worse, I don't like it.
Looking forward to:
find out if our girl is a blonde or brunette
Day 8 of 365 day photo challenge
Well, being 34 weeks pregnant, you get hungry all time. It was after midnight and I was hungry, therefore, couple of yummy waffle full of butter and syrup.

| Textbook of my public speaking class |
Well, two things, first, I have been filling in the study guide for my public speaking exam today. Second, I had to give a speech titled self eulogy.
It was hard for me, I really don't like speaking in public even it is just in front of friends. I know I have to conquer the fear of speaking in front of people so that I can fulfill my goal.

Day 6 of 365 day photo challenge
I am at the Marriott Hotel and Conference Center right now. Why? Because Jason had to come here for one of his AVC(Art and Visual Communication) lecture. He is having Migraine and needed help to find the place. I told him that he should just stay home but he didn't want his grade to drop. So here I am sitting at the lobby waiting for him. Lucky that I can go on the Internet.

| Driving to the store at 11:30 at night |
Okay, I spent over two hours at the store in the afternoon, still, I forgot to get contact solution. We were completely out. As a result, we had to go to the store at 11:30 p.m. Man, I am exhausted. It's been a long day. Being pregnant just make me get tired way too easy!
